During RBI working hours (7 AM to 7 PM on working days), the maximum fund transfer limit through NEFT is determined by the customer’s TPT (Third Party Transfer) limit, with an overall cap at Rs 50 lakhs.
However, from 7 PM to 7 AM on working days, and on holidays, which includes 2nd and 4th Saturdays and Sundays, the maximum per-transaction limit is Rs 2 lakhs. This limit can be utilised within the customer’s TPT limit, which may allow multiples of Rs 2 lakhs, up to a maximum of Rs 50 lakhs.
However, when conducting an NEFT transaction at an HDFC branch in person, there are no specific restrictions on the transaction amount.
